This point system is designed so that the donkey that defeats the most donkeys is the winner and not the donkey that shows the most times. This keeps finances from determining the winners and evens the playing field.
 
    
Point System for Tn High Point Awards
 
Point System: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
 
6 or more in class 6 5 4 3 2 1
5 in class 5 4 3 2 1

2 in class 2 1        
1 in class 1          
 


RULES:
Halter classes divided by age may be combined with other halter classes if not offered in at least two of the shows in Tennessee for that year.
**If a class is not offered in at least two shows it will be combined with another similar class. If there is no similar class it will not be counted.
The only exception to this rule is the standard/mammoth classes which are not offered at many shows so all classes will count.
Fun classes like Panty Race and Egg and Spoon Race are not counted as they take no skill on the part of the donkeys and are for fun only.
To be fair extra points will NOT be awarded for standing Grand, Reserve, Best of Breed or High Point of the show as these awards were not offered at every show.
Only the top four shows in each class will be counted towards the high points in each division.
In Hand Classes are the following:  Snigging, In-Hand Trail, Coon Jumping, In-Hand Jumping, Lead Race, Showmanship and Scramble.
In-Cart (Driving) Classes are the following:  Pleasure Driving, Obstacle Driving, Big-T, Stake Race, Barrel Race, Pole Bending, Reinsmanship and the Flag Race.
These awards were designed to stimulate the donkey industry especially in Tennessee by encouraging more people to show in our state.
If you have won an award you can be proud because you competed against 1505 entries in the state of Tennessee! Out of these 1505 entries we had 637 ribbon winners and 365 youth entries.
We do not discriminate against anyone for any reason. Anyone that shows in Tennessee is eligible for these awards.
We hope this will encourage competitors to compete at more shows in Tennessee so they can also be eligible for our High Point Champion Awards.
We will continue to present these awards at the end of each year.  We think Tennessee has more competition than any other state and our numbers reflect that. 
 
 
Ties are broken in the following order:

1) The donkey that defeats the most competitors.
2) The donkey that won the most blue ribbons.
3) The donkey that attended the most shows.
